Kinetic Events Staffing is an event staffing agency doing business around the country. We provide staffing for some of the largest festivals, conferences, races, and brand activations nationally. As we grow, we have an increasing need for management and oversight for our operations department. This is a management role which requires a firm understanding of our operational workflow and our industry overall.

About the Operations Manager position

We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to help us with planning, directing and coordinating our company’s operations. Your responsibilities will include improving efficiency, performance, productivity and compliance. Besides, you will lead a team of managers, training managers, and other administrative personnel.

Responsibilities include

  • Management, training and oversight of assistant roles.

  • Review and optimize existing operational systems, processes and best practices

  • Oversee the compliance of field staff operations

  • Work with Project Managers to ensure they are aligned on changes to workflows and onsite management

  • Provide rotating weekend support for events. This is an office role, not a field job. We estimate weekend work needs once every 7 weeks. We do this in exchange for a 4 day weekend the following week.

  • Reviewing job postings and hiring team workflow.

  • Oversee talent team job functions.

  • Weekly review meetings with staff, reporting to company president.

Operations Manager requirements are:

  • 3+ years' experience of working on in either staffing or event industry.

  • Experience in a management role

  • Experience of budget development and oversight.

  • Understanding of organizational effectiveness and operations management

  • Tech savvy mindset with strong IT skills, including experience using databases, spreadsheets, GSuite and so on

  • Strong leadership and organizational skills with ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the company


Compensation:

$85,000 - $110,000 starting salary, DOE

401K program

Most importantly, we are looking for candidates that fit our company culture and are enthusiastic about the event industry. We value employees who are kind, friendly, innovative, collaborative in their approach to work. This role is an in-person role in our Edina office, but we typically work from home on Friday's or at least one day per week.
