Job Title: Director Infection Prevention Location: Savannah, GA 31404 Duration: Direct Hire Shift: Day Shift/ Mon Fri Salary Estimate: $100,000 - $105,000 Job Summary and Qualifications: The Director Infection Prevention is responsible for the effective development, implementation, evaluation and surveillance of organizational infection control initiatives, standards and compliance. This position is also responsible for the direction of the operation of the infection prevention and control/epidemiology department, including education of Team Members and consultation with the organization, CDC, and the county and state health departments. The responsibilities encompass compliance with The Joint Commission (TJC) standards, CMS, OSHA, and state regulations, outbreak investigation, and overall direction of the infection prevention and control program. Complies with the Memorial Health Compliance Program, related policies and procedures and the Code of Business Practices; reports instances of perceived and actual non-compliance to Team Leader or through other reporting mechanisms.
What qualifications you will need: - Education Required: Bachelor's degree.
Experienced Required: - At least 5 years of relevant experience with progressive responsibility. Experience in Nursing with Epidemiology/Infectious Diseases focus. Departmental management experience.
License Required: - Registered Nurse with Certification in Infection Control required; active Georgia Registered Nurse licensure, may obtain within 6 months of hire.
Additional Information: - Culture of the facility/unit: a very busy 612 bed academic medical center with a Children's Hospital. This candidate MUST have experience leading an Infection prevention Department and/or Program at a Large Acute Care Facility.
