About the role

 

Following a busy period of growth at ARO and the integration of multiple acquisitions, we have a new role for a Cost and Revenue Assurance Manager to join our Commercial Team.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate billing to our customers and monitoring supplier invoices for accuracy. Your primary focus will be on generating efficiencies, identifying cost-savings, optimising profit margins and negotiating with suppliers to ensure the best outcomes for the Group.

Please note that this is a Hybrid role with onsite requirement 2 -3 days a week and travel to other UK offices. You must be able to commute to the office and have your own transport.

Interviews for this role will take place in September

 

What you’ll do

 

Cost Assurance:

  • Analyse supplier invoices to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to contractual terms.
  • Identify and investigate any discrepancies, billing errors, or overcharges from suppliers.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as Billing, Procurement and Finance, to resolve billing issues in a timely manner.
  • Develop and implement processes to proactively prevent future billing errors and cost leakage.

 

Revenue Assurance:

  • Conduct thorough reviews of customer billing data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Identify any billing discrepancies, missing revenue, or revenue leakage.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Finance, and Customer Service teams to resolve billing-related issues.
  • Implement controls to minimise revenue leakage and improve overall revenue assurance processes.

Efficiency and Savings:

  • Continuously review existing processes and systems to identify opportunities for efficiency gains.
  • Develop and implement initiatives to streamline operations and reduce costs.
  • Conduct regular audits and analysis of cost structures, pricing models, and revenue streams.
  • Recommend and implement strategies to optimise cost and revenue performance.

Supplier Negotiations:

  • Collaborate with procurement and product management teams to negotiate favourable terms with suppliers.
  • Drive cost-saving initiatives through effective supplier negotiations.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure ongoing cost efficiency and service quality.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Utilise database and data analysis skills to extract, manipulate, and analyse large volumes of data
  • Generate regular reports and present findings to management, highlighting cost and revenue trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain performance metrics and KPIs to track the effectiveness of cost and revenue assurance activities.

Requirements

What we are looking for?

 

Essential

  • Proven experience in cost and revenue assurance, billing operations, or financial analysis.
  • Strong understanding of supplier invoicing processes, billing systems, and revenue recognition principles.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Desirable

  • Graduate level experience, with good level of financial acumen.
  • Proficient in database management, data analysis, and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, Tableau, etc.).
  • Tenacious, self-motivated and able to work independently, while also being a team player.
  • Prior experience in the telecommunications & technology industries.
