POSITION SUMMARY: The Resource Librarian Specialist works under the direction of the Director of
Curriculum and Guidance, aids in the day-to-day organization of curriculum and materials, creates and engages in
positive experiences with students, parents/families. The Resource Librarian Specialist is self motivated with strong
communication, organizational, multitasking and collaborative skills, with intermediate computer/tech skills. The
incumbent is expected to remain calm under pressure, work cooperatively with team members and others to provide
the highest level of service possible and work in accordance with the Guiding Principles of the organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Greet and assist students, parent/families with general inquiries about curriculum and materials;
2. Check in-out curriculum materials to families at the front desk, maintain and update Surpass library
database with new incoming curriculum and materials;
3. Ship requested curriculum and materials to families and teachers;
4. Organize, shelve and sort curriculum and materials;
5. Inspect all returned books and materials, document defective materials that need replacement, as needed;
6. Conduct annual audit of all library curriculum and materials and archive outdated curriculum to allow
shelving space for a wide diversity incoming educational materials for students;
7. Reshelve books to organize library materials during the summer to accept and label new incoming
curriculum;
8. Maintain general cleanliness, upkeep, and organization of the library ;
9. May perform other duties commensurate with the functions and level of the position.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience: One (1) year of related experience.
