Summary of Role:
Willow is growing fast and is seeking a Digital Coordinator with a strong background in active construction Building Information Modeling (BIM) Project Management experience.
Role & Responsibilities
- You will be required to manage trade subcontractors on a major office to high-end residential conversion project on behalf of the General Contractor, attending and managing coordination meetings and providing regular project coordination reports, and be self-motivated to learn new processes and technology and share with/educate fellow Digital Engineering team members throughout the company.
- Directly manage BIM/VDC trade subcontractor coordination on behalf of the General Contractor
- Provide clients with Digital Engineering Services including BIM/VDC coordination and management, Digital Twin delivery, asset management, and digital handover of construction asset data
- Network with key clients from Design, Construction, and Owner/Developers
- Connect and network with key industry bodies/functions
- Develop use cases that will drive increased productivity, efficiency and reduce risk in delivery
- Assist Clients working through technical problems in the delivery of the Digital Design and Construction projects and provide innovative solutions
- Present and promote the use of Digital processes and technology in the Architecture and Engineering fields from Design through Construction into Operations
- Provide strategic leadership and direction within the Digital field as well as being able to apply leading edge technology to the field
- Assist project teams in Digital project setup
- Provide feedback and suggestions to the Willow software development team
Skills & Experience Required:
- Bachelor level degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture
- Minimum 4 years' experience in the construction or engineering consulting industry
- Experience working on large-scale multi-discipline building and/or infrastructure projects
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and risk management skills
- Demonstrated experience in construction BIM coordination and BIM management
- Demonstrated experience to present and meet with clients
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously
- Ability to network and train others
- Ability to create and administer a project Digital Execution Plan (BIM Execution Plan)
- Very strong demonstrated capability in the use of key BIM authoring and review software such as Revit or Archicad and Navisworks
- Proficient use of Digital technology including file interoperability and information exchange processes
- Knowledge of emerging industry technologies and where these can be applied
- Must have extensive PC experience in Windows environments, working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, Web-enabled applications, and database software
