Solutions Architect

DSA is hiring a Cloud Architect who will be responsible for providing essential automation, programming, technical integration/interface, maintenance, and management support to the Program Executive Office, Enterprise Information Systems (PEO EIS) and the Virtualization Cloud Environment (VCE). The primary objective is to ensure the effective sustenance of ongoing VCE activities by delivering comprehensive IT solutions and support.
The Cloud Architect will configure the VCE cARMY Cloud Environment; Provide cloud specific technical expertise and recommendations for solutions and designs. Responsibilities will include providing cloud architecture management, direction and governance for Army cloud strategy and initiatives. The Cloud Architect will help define the cloud architecture and lead execution and refinement of the cloud platform strategy. Additionally, the Cloud Architect will deliver value to the customer by assisting in standing up the cARMY Dev, Test/QA, and Prod VCE environments.  This Cloud experience is currently not on the VCE team.
The Cloud Architect will work remote 4 days a week; one day required on site at Fort Dix. In summary,  the Cloud Architect will help facilitate adoption, provide cloud technology best practices and support maintenance activities, including evaluation, integration, administration, and testing. And will regularly interface with DSA PM, DSA Developers, System Administrators (SAs), Gov't Technical Leads
Required Qualifications:

• Active DoD Secret Security Clearance
• Current CompTIA Security+ and AWS certifications
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a similar discipline and 12+ years of relevant experience OR master’s degree and 10+ years of experience
• Experience with commercial cloud service providers, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure
• Experience leading cloud IT projects/operations/systems/applications efforts for the Army or other cloud-related services within the Department of Defense (DoD)
• Experience with cloud migrations, including inventory, assessment, and migration planning efforts
• Strong collaboration skills to foster partnerships between architects, engineers, developers, and business stakeholders
• Experience briefing executive personnel
