Tasks

• Spearhead the team in conceiving, implementing, testing, and launching features for both our end-user and back-office products, ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions.
• As a valuable member of our Product Leadership Team, which includes product management, UI/UX design, and engineering leads, you will collaborate seamlessly with the data engineering and BI team. Together, work towards driving and cultivating optimal solutions that align seamlessly with organizational goals.
• Lead the agile team with visionary guidance and inspiration, acting as The Leader to not only drive collaborative and efficient development but also to provide disciplinary leadership for the team. Foster a close relationship with stakeholders, shaping the team structure, overseeing individual development of engineers, and extending the team as needed.
• Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement and agile best practices within the team, promoting an atmosphere of innovation and adaptability.
• Guarantee the stability, security, and high-performance operation of our services on a globally distributed computing platform (AWS, Kubernetes).
• Proactively monitor and optimize our services and infrastructure, emphasizing scalability and cost efficiency for enhanced performance.
• Expand our service deployments to new AWS regions, contributing to the global reach and accessibility of our products and services.
• Take ownership of developing solutions and communication with the development team by working closely with our talented software engineers to build new services.
• Drive teamwork and shared expertise to achieve project milestones.

Requirements

We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Lead Engineer. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in a STEM subject, demonstrating a strong foundation in technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
• A minimum of:

1. 3 years of experience leading and mentoring teams of software engineers, with a focus on fostering collaboration and achieving project goals.
2. 5 years of hands-on experience as a software engineer, showcasing proficiency in developing and launching innovative products and features.

• Proficiency in languages such as Python, JavaScript, and related frameworks (e.g., FastAPI, Flask, Vue.js, React), with a passion for learning and applying new technologies.
• Experience in:

1. Mobile development frameworks like Flutter or React Native, contributing to the creation of engaging and user-friendly applications.
2. Deploying and managing services on Cloud Infrastructure platforms (e.g., Amazon AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure) using Docker and Kubernetes, ensuring scalability and reliability.
3. Backend technologies like Go and Rust (additional experience in these areas is a significant advantage), enhancing the efficiency and performance of our systems.

• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset, enabling effective interaction with team members, stakeholders, and clients.
• Strong methodical competence in project management, including the ability to prioritize tasks, allocate resources effectively, and drive projects to successful completion.
• Adaptable to fast-changing work environments, demonstrating resilience and flexibility in navigating dynamic challenges.
