QA/QC Inspector - Civil Works

We are currently sourcing two experienced QA/QC Inspectors for Civil Works to join a massive undertaking in Germany, based on the conversion of two coal-based plants into a combined cycle power plants.

Tasks

The QA/QC Inspector for Civil Works oversees the quality assurance and quality control programs in construction projects.

This role involves conducting thorough audits to evaluate compliance with established QA systems, procedures, and quality-related activities. The incumbent ensures that all quality control activities align with the QA program, verifying that products or services meet client quality standards.

Primary Responsibilities:

*Oversee all QA/QC activities related to civil engineering, ensuring adherence to construction plans, specifications, and quality implementation at the job site.

*Conduct pre-inspection activities to guarantee that all materials and installations comply with relevant standards, drawings, and specifications.

*Perform inspections according to the Inspection and Testing Procedures (I.T.P.), including pre-pouring checks and ongoing work evaluations, to maintain quality standards.

*Execute various civil and structural inspections and tests, including but not limited to soil compaction, moisture content, concrete testing, and structural integrity assessments.

*Interpret design plans and specifications to ensure construction quality matches contractual documents.

*Generate reports on QA/QC activities, participate in the creation of quality control documentation, and assist in the development of procedures as needed.

*Monitor construction procedures to confirm compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards, actively participating in maintaining a safe work environment.

*Track construction progress against contractual timelines, reporting to management as necessary.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.

Relevant certifications such as AWS CWI, CSWIP SWI, or similar.

Training in ISO 9001.

Fluent English proficiency required. Knowledge of German is considered a valuable asset.

Work Conditions:

The candidate must be hardworking and able to perform effectively under pressure, with most work conducted on-site.
