Venture Capital Visiting Analyst - b2venture Direct Investments (m/f/d) - Spring 2024

b2venture's Direct Investment Team is looking for an additional team member (m/f/d) to join our team as a Visiting Analyst as of April or May 2024. The duration of the internship should be at least 4 months to make the most of it.

The b2venture Direct Investments Team works closely with our vibrant angel community of ca. 200 (ex-) entrepreneurs, who not only invest through us, but also support the b2venture team to source, select, win, and support excellent companies. One of the major responsibilities of the team is to secure funding for investment opportunities on a deal-by-deal basis from our angel network.

Tasks

🚀 Your mission:

Join us on our mission to invest in the outlier companies of tomorrow by collaborating with Europe’s strongest community of angel investors

🤓 Your role:

The role combines the privilege of working with leading angels and the attractions of VC deal-making:

• Support the team in building relationships with the members of b2venture’s angel investor community and communicate potential investment opportunities
• Work on initiatives to further strengthen the angel community, e.g.
  through new event formats, development of marketing material and landscape screening
• Collaborate with b2venture's fund teams and the angel community to screen and analyze new and promising investments (with a focus on sector agnostic growth investments)
• Conduct industry research and develop new investment hypotheses
• Support in managing investment processes for new and follow-on transactions, ranging from due diligence activities, investor onboardings, and investment presentations

Requirements

Your profile:

• You are fluent in spoken and written German and English
• You have completed the fourth semester of your studies in business, economics, computer science, or have a technical background and achieved outstanding academic results
• You gained operating experience in a startup (preferably Sales or Business Development), banking (wealth management), consulting, or investment firm
• You are passionate about entrepreneurship and have a solid understanding of digital business models
• You are a team player and self-starter with superb social skills and humor
• You combine social with analytical excellence, with high attention to detail and a pro-active mindset
• You have excellent MS Office skills, specifically with regard to Excel and PowerPoint
