Your mission
As Compliance and Operations Manager at VR Smart Guide you ensure that our internal and outsourced processes run smoothly and according to respective regulatory & contractual requirements. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement policies, procedures, and controls to mitigate risk and maintain regulatory compliance.
Your role and contribution
- Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
- Ensure professional relationship to our suppliers and monitor their performance & SLA fulfillment in close collaboration with internal stakeholders
- Evaluate & accompany the implementation of product initiatives from a regulatory and compliance point of view to ensure
- Maintain an overview of relevant regulatory requirements and reportings for VRSG operations (such as ZAG, ZAIT, §34c GewO) and provide operational guidance to implement these efficiently
- Conduct regular compliance assessments and audits to identify potential risks and areas for improvement
- Monitor changes in regulatory requirements and industry standards and ensure timely updates to policies and procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement training programs to promote awareness of compliance requirements and best practices
- Investigate and resolve compliance issues, discrepancies, and complaints in a timely and efficient manner
- Manage relationships with regulatory agencies and external partners to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and facilitate regulatory examinations and audits
- Develop and maintain documentation and records related to compliance activities, including policies, procedures, and audit reports
- Analyze operational performance metrics and develop strategies to improve efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction
- Lead and support cross-functional projects and initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness and drive business growth
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on compliance activities, issues, and initiatives.
Your profile
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in operations management, compliance, or a related field, preferably in the fin-tech industry
- Regulatory knowhow regarding relevant laws and regulations for VRSG operations (ZAG, ZAIT, GewO)
- Know-how concerning best-practice frameworks to run compliant process organization
- Experience in implementing compliant product initiatives in the FinTech domain
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance best practices in the financial services industry, particularly in Germany
- Proven experience developing and implementing policies, procedures, and controls to ensure regulatory compliance
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and exercise sound judgment in decision-making
- Fluency in German and English
- Willing to travel occasionally to Berlin and/or Eschborn.
