Your mission
You will be the champion of small businesses, ensuring that our product meets their needs, empower them to manage their finances effectively, protect them from financial troubles before they arise, and provide valuable insights to match them with suitable financial products ultimately helping them thrive and grow. As Product Owner you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, data analysts, and business stakeholders, to deliver a seamless and user-centric solution.
Your role and contribution
- User Centric Product Development: You actively strive to gain insights regarding the needs and wants of small business owners, using those insights to shape a product that is at their side throughout their day-to-day business life.
- Hands-on Product Leadership: You take a hands-on approach to product ownership, actively participating in the execution and delivery. Collaborate closely with development teams, provide guidance and support, and remove any obstacles to ensure timely feature delivery.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: You foster strong collaboration and effective communication with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, data analysts, and business stakeholders. Encourage a cohesive and productive working environment to deliver high-quality features and enhancements.
- Product Market Fit: Drive the achievement of product-market fit for the VR Smart Guide product by thoroughly understanding the target market, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
- Data Driven Decision Making: Develop and implement strategies to utilize bookkeeping data, generating actionable insights that drive cross- and upselling of financial products to small businesses.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy for launching the applications, aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.
- Iterative and Continuous Improvement: You should promote a culture of continuous improvement and learning. Seek customer feedback, conduct user testing, and iterate on the product based on insights, always striving to enhance the user experience and deliver increasing value to small businesses.
Your profile
- You have 5+ years of experience in Product Ownership within the fintech or financial services industry, with a track record of successfully delivering software products
- Your expertise is in financial services, banking, and/or brokerage platforms. You are familiar with the challenges faced by small businesses in these areas, as well as with the broader financial products landscape
- You have successfully launched desktop and mobile applications.
- You are fluent (C2) in both German and English
- You have the ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority and your working style fosters teamwork, motivates others, and aligns stakeholders around a shared product vision
- You feel strong empathy for small business owners and have a user-centric approach to product development
- You have a strong sense of ownership and accountability: You should take full ownership of the product, demonstrating a high level of responsibility and accountability for its success
- Your are willing to occasionally travel to Berlin and/or Eschborn (near Frankfurt), and partner locations
