Your future contribution:

As our product continues to evolve, we aim to set a new standard in the tourism industry by offering an exceptional user experience. In your capacity as a team lead, your primary focus will be to provide guidance and leadership to your team members, who will be responsible for direct interactions with our customers. Leveraging your business development expertise, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our team delivers top-notch support to our global customer base.

Your leadership within the Sales & Service team will involve guiding and mentoring your team members as they engage with both new and existing customers. Your primary objective is to ensure that your team effectively converts inbound leads from Free Trial users into active users who see the value in our software, helping them make informed purchasing decisions. Additionally, you will oversee the support provided to our existing paying users, ensuring they can maximize the benefits and profitability of our product.

In essence, your role is centered around leading and guiding your team to deliver outstanding service and drive business growth. Your dedication to excellence will be instrumental in establishing a state-of-the-art business development department at Smoobu. Through your leadership and passion, you will empower your team to excel in their interactions with customers and contribute to the success of our organization.

How you’ll add value:

  • Leading and developing a team of 6-8 specialists, coaching and empowering them to deliver high standard sales and customer service experiences while continuously expanding their skill sets.
  • Efficiently allocating resources and setting team priorities. Creating and implementing work schedules to optimize collaboration within the team and ensuring adequate coverage across all service channels.
  • Monitoring and leveraging quantitative and qualitative data to give regular feedback and boost service levels.

  • At all times, fostering a collaborative team environment. Keeping employee happiness and engagement in mind, ensuring that your team has the best environment and tools to work with.
  • Collaborating with the Lead to onboard new team members, ensuring they integrate smoothly into the team and understand their roles.
  • Actively contributing to the quarterly goal-setting process by proposing new ideas and improvements to existing practices that require refinement.

You’ll be successful in this role if you:

  • Have experience in leading and developing an international customer service team
  • Are fluent in English AND German. Additional languages (French, Spanish) are a plus.
  • Possess experience in 1:1 coaching and giving feedback
  • Demonstrate empathetic leadership with strong
  • Have a genuine passion for providing an exceptional user experience and driving sales growth
  • Approach decision-making with a data-driven and analytical mindset, optimizing both customer service and sales processes for efficient results.
