In short, cryopreservation is an advanced medical procedure that puts a human into complete biological pause after their legal death. The purpose is to keep people preserved until medical technology has advanced enough to treat their cause of death and revive them. Cryopreservation provides the chance for patients to benefit from future technologies and potentially live a longer life than what is currently possible.

Human cryopreservation services have existed in the US for over 50 years, and now we are bringing the option to Europe. As this is a pioneer market we are still in a stage of market education and rapid communications development. We are entering our third year of customer acquisition and are looking for motivated and forward thinking people to help us in the process of scaling up.

Tasks

As our Public Relations Manager, you will be instrumental in forging strong relationships with key journalism sources and media outlets. Your role will focus on engaging with media professionals who cater to our market audience, ensuring that our groundbreaking work in human cryopreservation is communicated effectively and accurately.

Since Tomorrow Biostasis is a startup, you will have a wide range of tasks that may evolve over time based on the company's needs and your preferences. Some of the tasks you will likely undertake include:

• Media Relations: Cultivate and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, and influencers in the biotech and longevity sectors. Your goal is to establish a network of media contacts who understand and are interested in our mission.
• Tailored Communication: Develop PR strategies and content that resonate with our specific market audience.
• Strategic Storytelling: Position Tomorrow Biostasis GmbH at the forefront of the cryopreservation conversation by identifying story angles that appeal to both the general public and specialized audiences.
• Market-Specific Messaging: Understand the nuances of the European market and adapt your strategies to address regional sensibilities, legal considerations, and cultural perspectives.
• Collaborative Efforts: Work closely with our marketing and communications teams to ensure a unified and impactful message across all platforms.

Requirements

• Proven experience in Public Relations, ideally in biotech or related fields, with a strong track record of successful media engagement and relationship-building
• Excellent understanding of the media landscape and how to craft messages that engage different types of media outlets.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to network and build relationships effectively.
• Strong communication and storytelling skills.
• Willingness to relocate to Berlin, Germany / Remote not possible
• Excellent written and spoken English. German is a big plus!
• Computer/tech skills are a plus.
• Optimism and excitement about the future is also a plus.
