At Novocarbo, we work as a team to solve one of the most important problems of our time: our goal is to store 100 million tons of CO2 from the atmosphere annually, making a significant contribution to achieving climate goals.
We are one of the largest producers and distributors of biochar in Europe and sell our Carbon Removal Credits to renowned companies worldwide. Several new sites for the production of biochar and regenerative heat are already in planning. To continue this positive momentum, we are looking for a Commercial Project Manager (all genders). This position is a crucial part for the construction of new production sites and will play a valuable role in the company’s growth.
Aufgaben
- commercial management of construction projects for new Carbon Removal Parks (worldwide)
- work out financing strategies for individual projects, continuous risk assessments and quality management measures
- Internal and external scheduling of stakeholder visits and meetings, coordinate on-site construction partners and internal functions
- Guide projects through governmental approval processes (i.e. BImSchG) and coordinate respective authorities (on- and offsite)
- report regular process update to the Management Team and C-Suite
- Support implementation of a company wide project management system by defining project management standards and identifying controlling measurements
- Support the Site Development Team in identifying potential sites for Carbon Removal Parks (worldwide)
Qualifikation
These are your professional qualifications we’d appreciate:
- You have an academic background in i.e. economics or engineering or a commercial apprenticeship with engineering focus.
- So far, you gained at least 4-5 years of work experience, of which min. 2 years in commercial project management.
- You have a clear understanding of climate-tech, sustainability and circular economy.
- You are highly motivated to see your impact and develop yourself constantly alongside your team and Novocarbo.
- You communicate fluently in German and English. Any other language is a plus.
- You have a high IT-tool affinity: we mainly work with MS 365 and Notion.

- You have a good understanding of complex environments and growing industries, such as the Carbon Removal and Biochar Market.
- You know how to professionally interact with stakeholders on construction sites as well as German authorities.
- You bring in a high level of accountability and willingness to drive our projects to success.
- You use a strong, data-driven and analytical mindset to quickly familiarize yourself with new topics as well as identifying and solving problems.
- Working in a team motivates you and sharing success is what you strive for.
- You are able and willing to travel in- and outside of Germany (depending on projects).
