Summary
This job is responsible for Key Account Management within EMEA (Europe, the Middle East and Africa) within the Industrial market segment, especially within Germany and Central Europe.
Tasks
Primary Responsibilities
- Actively manage the largest industrial accounts within Central Europe through professional customer relationship management
- Identify and develop new business opportunities with those accounts to secure and drive growth
- Actively manage customer forecasts and understand/explain underlying trends
- Understand and analyze the specific markets and propose strategies to increase sales
- Represent Novanta at marketing activities, e.g. exhibitions and customer events
- Prepare and moderate Key Account Management reviews with leadership team participation
Requirements
Required Experience, Education, Skills, Training and Competencies
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant disciplines (Engineering, Physics, Photonics)
- Experience in Key Account Management on OEM and Tier1-level with proven track record of successfully managing large accounts and identifying and developing new sales opportunities
- Ability to create strategic plans to increase share at key accounts
- Experience within the laser and/or photonics industry
- Experience in Marking & Coding market is a plus
- Experience in lead generation, pipeline management, forecasting etc.
- Self-motivated and self-structured
- Executive presence
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, incl. fluent English language skills
- Experience and network in markets like Converting, Micromachining, eMobility & battery and Additive Manufacturing is a plus
Travel Requirements
- Willingness to travel within EMEA and occasionally to the USA is a must (~40% time for travel expected)
- Must maintain Valid Driver’s License
