Your mission
We are searching a Service Engineer for our EV charging products in Germany. The position can be homeoffice based everywhere in Germany. Regular travelling to customers by car will be necessary (around 70%).
- The primary responsibility of the EV Charge Field Engineer is to ensure the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of electric vehicle charging infrastructure. As an EV Charge Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality services to our customers and ensuring that our EV charging infrastructure is running efficiently.
- This role will coordinate with service internal team and service partner to support all technical needs for internal team and customers. To coordinate training team to support sales, installer, EPC for any technical need.
- Installation and Commissioning: Work with the installation team to ensure the safe and effective installation and commissioning of electric vehicle charging infrastructure.
- Maintenance and Repair: Perform regular maintenance checks, repairs, and troubleshooting activities to ensure optimal functioning of electric vehicle charging stations. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities performed.
- Testing and Commissioning: Conduct testing and commissioning activities to ensure that electric vehicle charging infrastructure is operating at optimal levels.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support and assistance to customers, partners, and other team members, responding promptly to inquiries, and troubleshooting technical issues.
- Site Inspections: Conduct site inspections to assess the suitability of locations for electric vehicle charging infrastructure installations, considering environmental factors, safety considerations, and regulatory requirements.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all activities related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of electric vehicle charging infrastructure. Prepare detailed reports on field activities, including site inspections, installation, and maintenance.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, addressing customer concerns and ensuring their satisfaction. Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and stakeholders to foster long-term partnerships.
- Health and Safety: Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment, when performing site inspections, installations, and maintenance activities.
Your profile
- University degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or in a related field.
- At least 2 years of working experience with EV charging products, batteries, electronical products or as en Engineer in Field Service or Maintenance or in a related field mandatory.
- Experience in electric vehicle charging industry preferred.
- Certifications in EV charging and as "Elektrofachkraft" would be an advantage.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of EV charging infrastructure, including charging station hardware, communication protocols (e.g., OCPP), and related software. Proficient in troubleshooting electrical systems, interpreting technical documentation, and using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Very good German and English language skills mandatory (both minimum B2, preferrably C1). Daily working languages will be German and English.
- High customer and service orientation. Teamplayer mentality.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Adaptability and flexiblity.
- Vaild driving licence for Germany.
- Travelling by car around 60-70% within Germany and occasionally within Europe.
