IT-Support engineer with outstanding communication skills
Aufgaben
Remote work is NOT possible.
The customer is a large European institution based in Munich. Position is on-site in Munich-Germany.
The IT Support Engineer:
- handles end-user computer requirements and network requirements
- performs hardware installation and troubleshooting
- installs and troubleshoots hardware such as desktops, laptops, scanners, projectors, printers, video conference equipment
- Installs application software such as Microsoft Office and other related office productivity tools, antivirus, communication-related application software e.g. Teams, Zoom, etc.
- resolves network and internet-related connectivity issues
- installs and maintains network nodes such as Wi-Fi access points, network routers, etc.
- installs and maintains printers and printing services
- assists in the setup and monitoring of video live streaming services, as well as the setup and support of streaming broadcasts
- assists in the setup and monitoring of video conferencing sessions
- documents technical support requests, and actions taken by creating and updating tickets, and acts on the resolution of issues through the internal ticketing system
Qualifikation
- Excellent communication skills. IT-Support will be performed on-site while facing off the customer
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Technical Support Engineer, Desktop Support Engineer, IT Help Desk Technician or similar role
- Experience with e.g. Windows 7/10, Office 2010, Edge, Chrome, Skype, Adobe and Windows common Applications
- Good understanding of computer systems (hard- & software), printers and VICO systems
- Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot support and repair of desktop hardware
- Ask customers targeted questions to quickly understand the root of the problem
- Incident and Change management within a special period of time (SLA)
- Run a diagnosis of the problem on the spot using an diagnostic tool
- Install Desktop/laptop and printer devices
- Replace defective parts and equipment if necessary
- Assemble and install Video Conferencing systems (VICO)
- Participate in planned changes, updates and moves by arranging equipment and transferring data
- Provide prompt and communicate accurate feedback to client
- Ensure all issues are properly logged and up to date in ticketing system
- Prioritize and manage several open issues at one time
- Follow up with clients to ensure their IT systems are fully functional after troubleshooting
- Maintaining a very good relationships with the customer
- Good mastering of the English language, both written and verbal
Benefits
We offer a good salary as full-time employee (Range ca 37 - 43 k gross per year) based on experience. The job itself requires on-site presence in Munich, Germany on a daily basis.
