For our international IT organisation we are looking for an IT Support Engineer for our office in Berlin.
Your impact:
- Be the first point of contact for our employees at MODIFI regarding hardware and software support
- Provide the necessary support to end users on-site in our Berlin office and remotely to our offices abroad, using tools such as Slack and TeamViewer
- Take ownership of issues reported, tackle problems through to resolution and provide prompt and accurate feedback to users
- Perform technical on- and offboarding of employees
- Provision Windows, Mac and Linux client workstations and grant system permissions in accordance with our standards
- Document knowledge about recurring activities in our knowledge base and identify potential for automation
- Manage billing, licensing and users for various state-of-the-art SaaS tools that we use on daily basis
- Liaise with suppliers, service providers, logistic vendors for procurement and delivery of hardware as well as services and keep our inventory up to date
- Contribute with your own ideas about improvements in order to build an efficient support function
Requirements
- You have 2-3 years of experience working as a Technical Support Engineer, preferably in an startup environment
- You know your way around Windows / Linux / Mac systems (installation, configuration maintenance and troubleshooting)
- You have good knowledge in Google products for Business, such as Google Workspace
- You have a strong technical affinity and you love to troubleshoot technical problems of various flavors
- You are a quick learner and always find your away around new product and technologies
- You are being recognized by your colleagues as a reliable and friendly person and you are a real team player
- In your previous role, you were able to gain first experience in at least one scripting language (such as Bash or Python)
- You understand web and cloud technologies esp. Identity and Access Management solutions
- You have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English language (German is a plus)
