Intermediate-level Plumbing and Fire Protection Engineer | Government, Public, and Educational building projects

It is their dedication and vision coupled with their technical capabilities, that bring together so many owners, architects, developers, and facilities managers, who rely upon them to help their projects succeed.

Job Description:
Immediate need for an experienced Plumbing and Fire Protection Engineer with proven experience in designing plumbing systems as well as sprinkler and fire protection systems. The right candidate will be responsible for preparation of all design documents as well as field investigations and should have sound knowledge of engineering fundamentals and applicable building codes.

Responsibilities:

Production of all Plumbing and Fire Protection drawings
Prepare contract drawings and specifications detailing the designed systems
Perform smoke control calculations
Select equipment used in building systems
Coordinate work with other engineering disciplines
Report writing and specification preparation

Job Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years or more of professional experience in plumbing and fire protection design
Knowledge of state and local codes applicable to PFP Design
Should be on the road to an EIT or PE licensure
Strong Revit and/or CAD capabilities
Previous design experience with an AE, fire protection firm or MEP engineering firm

Education:
BSME desired BUT not required
