Responsibilities
The power electronics engineer will be working under lead power electronics engineer and be responsible for
• Perform key power electronics component analysis and evaluation, such as power semiconductor, magnetics, capacitors, and etc
• Perform Print Circuit Board (PCB) root cause analysis and provide recommendations
• Perform system level electrical performance evaluation and provide root cause analysis
• Characterize power semiconductor devices for power semiconductors
• Execute and perform PCBA and/or system level UL/CE agency compliance analysis and test
• Support manufacture engineer operate end of line equipment for EV charging product – may require few weeks travel during the contractor period
Qualifications
• Minimum B.S. in Electrical Engineering, specializing in power electronics preferred, 3 year + experience preferred
• Experience designing and evaluating of high voltage PCB boards
• Experience in designing / testing of high voltage power converters preferred
• Understanding of power semiconductor switches and diodes, and their characteristics
• Experience of EMI/EMC designing, testing and optimization design for power electronics products
• Skilled working in lab environment with high voltage and current
• Experience of product certification with UL/CE standards in for power electronics products
• Ability to work in a fast-paced development environment
