What Does This Role Entail?
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Product Operations Analyst. This role is critical for ensuring efficient cloud infrastructure cost management, accurate KPI tracking, and supporting product analytics. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, aptitude for cost management, and be proficient in or willing to learn data and analytics applications and services.
Your Responsibilities
Cloud Infrastructure Cost Management:
- Monthly Reporting and Analysis: Generate and analyze monthly reports on cloud infrastructure costs to support multiple stakeholder groups including variance and trend analysis.
- Budget Preparation: Develop detailed cloud infrastructure budgets, incorporating inputs from cost owners.
- Cost models: Support the creation of cost models to feed into pricing analysis and respond to adhoc data requests for live opportunities.
- Automation Opportunities: Identify and support the implementation of automation opportunities to streamline cost management processes.
Product KPIs:
- KPI Collation and Reporting: Collate agreed product and risk KPIs, ensuring they are populated each month.
- Variance Analysis: Follow up on monthly variances or deviations from targets.
- KPI Re-evaluation: Support the annual process to re-evaluate KPIs to ensure they remain relevant and aligned with business objectives.
Product Analytics Support
Work closely with the Product data analyst to drive Product analytics objectives including:
- Collaboration with Product Owners: Partner with product owners in agreed domains to ensure baseline data and the impact of new releases are measured and understood.
- Product Enablement: Support the rollout of product analytics tools and reports to the product team.
- Ad Hoc Queries: Handle ad hoc queries from product owners or other stakeholders.
- Gainsight Administration: Serve as the administrator for the Gainsight application.
Ad Hoc Projects:
- Project Support: Drive or support other ad hoc projects or activities as required to support the product organization.
Key Expectations
Required:
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Experience in Cost Management: Experience in managing and analyzing costs (with cloud infrastructure cost management experience an advantage).
- Attention to Detail: Demonstrates meticulous accuracy and ensures thoroughness in all tasks.
- Self-Motivator: Takes initiative and proactively tackles tasks without requiring constant supervision.
- Comfortable with Ambiguity: Thrives in situations with incomplete or unclear information, adapting quickly and effectively.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
Preferred:
- Cloud Platforms: Knowledge of AWS Services an advantage.
- SQL and Data Analysis: Proficiency in SQL, excel, Power BI and other data analysis tools.
- Industry Experience: 1-2 years previous experience in a similar role within a tech or SaaS company.
Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s Degree: A degree in Finance, Business, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
