<p>Field: Manufacturing and processing industry |Pharmaceutical |Chemical companies</p><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ol><li><strong>Educational Qualification</strong>: A diploma in Food Technology, Food Science, Food Processing, Food Safety, or a related field.</li><li><strong>Experience</strong>:</li><li>Proven 2/3 years, of working experience in food safety or a related field.</li><li>Experience in Internal and external standards e.g. ISO 17025, ISO 22000:2018, BRCGS</li><li>Computer literacy and experience with Laboratory Information Systems.</li><li>The candidate should be willing to work in <strong>Mtwara</strong></li></ol><p><strong>Duties and Responsibility</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Inspection and Monitoring:</strong> Conducting regular inspections of food processing facilities, and other food establishments to ensure compliance with food safety regulations.</li><li><strong>Sampling and Testing</strong>: Collecting food samples and conducting laboratory tests to detect contamination or ensure quality standards are met.</li><li> <strong>Compliance and Enforcement</strong><strong>:</strong> Ensuring that food businesses comply with food safety laws and regulations, and taking enforcement actions when necessary.</li><li><strong>Training and Education</strong><strong>:</strong> Providing training and education to food handlers and businesses on proper food safety practices and regulations.</li><li><strong>Record Keeping</strong>: Maintaining detailed records of inspections, test results, and compliance actions</li></ul> •
