Description:

As the Sr. Manager of Business Intelligence, you will lead a team responsible for building, modulating, and understanding the data produced by Skan to transform it into customer-friendly dashboards that showcase business value insights. You will collaborate closely with the Product and Engineering teams to ensure our analytical capabilities align with our product roadmap and technical architecture. Additionally, you will work with our Customer Success and Implementation Services teams to understand, discover, define, and quantify potential business value improvements that our solutions can achieve for prospects and current customers. 

Your team will focus on modifying or creating dashboards that help customers realize the value of our data. You will also drive the standardization of templates and value-driven outcomes by industry and process, which can be subsequently leveraged in similar projects. Your team will utilize data to drive business decisions, write SQL queries, data mine, and leverage visualization techniques. 

What you will do at Skan:

• Lead and mentor a team of BI Developers responsible for interpreting data, building/modifying dashboards jointly with customers, and proposing potential process improvement solutions based on data insights. 
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to ensure our data analytics capabilities align with product roadmaps and technical architectures. 
• Work with data to arrive at key metrics and KPIs for our customers (e.g., NPS, FPR). 
• Oversee the creation of highly creative dashboards that bring out powerful business value through insights and storytelling, and present to the stakeholders. 
• Uncover trends and correlations through data mining and analysis to develop insights that can improve the business and support effective decision-making. 
• Analyze unique operational data to find new and deep insights that bring value to our customers. 
• Leverage tools like Power BI and experiment with infographics to make our rich data as actionable as possible. 
• Collaborate and innovate with our data science team to unlock new value drivers from our data. 
• Participate in customer value engineering meetings and gain first-hand experience on business value. 
• Drive the standardization of the value engineering framework and report templates across the organization. 

Requirements

What you will bring to Skan:

• 10+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a data-specific role, with a strong understanding of database management, data modeling, business intelligence, SQL querying, data warehousing, and online analytical processing. 
• 4+ years of experience leading and mentoring teams in data analytics or related fields. 
• In-depth understanding and experience with Microsoft BI stacks such as Power Pivot, SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS. 

• Strong hands-on experience with at least one of the solutions like Tableau,  PowerBI or Thoughtspot. 
• Experience using Python or other programming languages to parse, structure, and transform data. 
• Ability to create user-friendly and concise dashboards that enable customers to understand their processes better. 
• Excellent project management, communication and presentation skills 
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. 
• Experienced working with cloud data platforms like Snowflake, Databricks etc.  

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Master’s degree in computer science, Math, Statistics, Engineering or related field 
• Prior experience in Insurance, Healthcare, Banking or Financial services 
• Experience working with Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms.
