Accountant

We are looking for a passionate individual to manage our finance activities and establish processes and structure to support Helm.ai’s exceptional company growth. As a finance and account expert you have worked in dynamic and unstructured environments before and can demonstrate your passion to establish our finance function through your skills, experience, positive attitude and energy. This is an opportunity to come on board as an early finance employee at a fast-growth tech company focused on key innovation in the autonomous driving space.

This is a hybrid role based out of our Redwood City office.

You will:

• Process all our invoices
• Own and manage the monthly close process (incl. AR, AP)
• Create financial modeling and FP&A
• Take responsibility for payroll, expense and CapTable management
• Establish and manage processes and dashboards

You have:

• At least four years of relevant work experience as a financial controller, CPA, work in financial operations, or similar
• A BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, or related field or the equivalent hands-on experience
• Experience on working on a large-scale diligence process, whether its a fundraising effort, acquisition, merger, or similar
• Familiarity with QBO and similar software tools; advanced excel skills
• Comfort with ambiguity and changing priorities - we are a rapid growth startup and need someone who can pivot as quickly as we do
