Role:
We are looking for an experienced Linux System Administrator to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and monitoring for our high security systems, collaborating with the software development and production support teams.
What will you do:
- Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (e.g., CentOS) in physical, virtual, and cloud environments.
- Perform system updates, patches, and upgrades regularly to ensure security and stability.
- Monitor system performance, identify issues, and implement solutions to improve system efficiency.
- Automate routine tasks using scripts to streamline system management.
- Assist in troubleshooting hardware and software issues in collaboration with the broader IT team.
- Ensure system documentation is updated and reflect current configurations and operational procedures.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls within production environments.
- Work closely with development and application teams to ensure system compatibility and optimal deployment of applications.
- Provide 2nd and 3rd level support for Linux-related issues and incidents.
What are we looking for?
- At least 5 years of experience in systems engineering or systems administration, particularly in Linux environments.
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in a relevant technical field such as Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Strong command of English, both written and spoken.
- Strong knowledge of Linux-based operating systems, especially in production environments.
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware, KVM, or containers (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Proficient in shell scripting (e.g., Bash) and knowledge of other programming languages is a plus.
- Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus) and logging tools.
- Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NFS, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) management and X.509 certificates.
- Experience with Hardware Security Modules (HSM) in Linux environments.
- Knowledge of cryptography, SSL/TLS, and certificate management.
- Experience with secure system architecture, including encryption standards and secure communication protocols.
- Familiarity with security configuration management and security-focused automation tools.
