We have partnered with a local tree care expert based in Burnsville, Minnesota to help fill their growing team.We're seeking a passionate Bucket Operator to join our team!
Responsibilities:
- Operating a scissor lift to position it near the branches that need to be trimmed or removed, ensuring safety and efficiency in reaching various heights.
- Conducting pre-operational checks on the bucket truck and equipment, including the hydraulic lift system, to ensure everything is in safe working condition.
- Performing tree trimming, pruning, and removal tasks from the bucket, using hand and power tools such as chainsaws, pruners, and shears.
- Following specific instructions regarding which branches to trim or remove, taking into account the health of the tree, safety considerations, and client requests.
- Adhering to safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries, including wearing protective gear, securing the work area, and ensuring proper use of the bucket and tools.
- Communicating effectively with the ground crew to coordinate the removal of branches, ensuring debris is cleared promptly and safely from the site.
- Maintaining accurate records of work performed and reporting any issues with the scissor lift or equipment to the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Bucket Operator in the Tree Care Industry
- Valid Driver’s License but Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is preferred
- Physical fitness and the ability to work at heights for extended periods
- Proficient in using tree trimming tools and equipment
- Previous experience in tree care or any related field is highly beneficial
