At Lyft, our mission is to improve people’s lives with the world’s best transportation. To do this, we start with our own community by creating an open, inclusive, and diverse organization.
Data Science is at the heart of Lyft’s products and decision-making. As the Senior Data Science Manager, you will work in a dynamic environment, where we embrace moving quickly to build the world’s best transportation. Data Scientists take on a variety of problems ranging from shaping critical business decisions to building algorithms that power our business insights. We’re looking for a passionate, driven Data Scientist Manager to take on some of the most interesting and impactful problems and lead some of the best scientists in the industry. This role will be overseeing the teams on Lyft Business and Lyft Media. You will be working on one of the most profitable and fastest growing revenue centers in our company. We are the team that brings delightful ad experiences in the Lyft app and in out-of-home displays such as tablets mounted behind driver seats or on displays mounted on the top of the cars as well as serving the transportation needs of outside enterprises ranging from medical care providers to management consultancies and rental car companies. You will prioritize and create the analytics strategy, vision, and roadmap while ensuring that the team has all the necessary tools and infrastructure to perform their work. You will be responsible for building and executing an analytics roadmap, as well as empowering self-service analytics across the organization. In this role, you will also build critical relationships with Product, Engineering, Science, Operations leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure consistent delivery of what the organization and our partners need.
You’ll be managing data scientists, and also building relationships and partnering with product and operations teams. The ideal candidate can navigate complex technical topics, strategic problem solving, and team development to deliver business impact. If you’re driven, collaborative, resourceful, and can communicate complex ideas with ease, then we’d like to talk to you.
