R&D Director | Relocation Opportunity

Founded in 1993, Vita Green has since expanded to encompass over 700 staff, 3 GMP-certified pharmaceutical factories, 6 overseas offices, and more than 70 specialty shops and consignment counters across Asia, Europe, and the USA. Our two Good Manufacturing Practice certified factories produce and promote 13 proprietary brands and over 150 products. We have been honoured with numerous consumer accolades and are proud to continue growing as a sizeable international company.

As our R&D Director, you will be responsible for overseeing our research and development programs, identifying market trends, and ensuring product quality. You will also work closely with our production and distribution teams to ensure efficient and effective delivery of new products to the market.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, execution, and management of Vita Green's R&D strategy and programs, ensuring that they align with our overall business goals
• Direct the research team in the design, development, and launch of new products, ensuring their safety, quality, and efficacy
• Work in partnership with other key functional areas, such as production and distribution, to ensure efficient and timely execution of product launches
• Stay abreast of industry trends and market developments to anticipate customer needs and adjust R&D efforts as necessary
• Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, including academic institutions and suppliers, to access cutting-edge technology and research capabilities
• Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
• Manage a team of scientists and researchers, providing guidance and mentorship as necessary

Requirements

• Ph.D. degree in a science-related field (e.g. biochemistry, pharmaceutical science, or related discipline)
• At least 10+ years of experience in research and development, preferably in the retail or pharmaceutical industry
• Strong leadership skills, with experience managing a team of scientists and researchers
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster positive working relationships both internally and externally
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and strategically
• Experience developing and managing budgets and timelines for R&D projects
• Excellent knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), regulatory standards, and quality control processes.
