Julie is a new healthcare company (launched 2022) that offers FDA-approved emergency contraception with the goal of increasing access and helping users make safer, more informed choices. Julie is sold at Walmart, CVS, and Target nationwide. With a one-for-one donation program (called “Julie for All”)—we have quickly become one of the largest donors of emergency contraception in the U.S. Julie is driven by the belief that all individuals deserve easy access to emergency contraception without stigma, fear, or anxiety. We aspire to reduce the roughly 48% of pregnancies in the U.S. that are either mistimed or unwanted.
Reporting to the Head of Brand & Creative, the Social Media Manager will lead strategy, content creation, and growth across social channels (with a focus on Instagram and TikTok), working to further an engaged community of people who are passionate about our mission of supporting reproductive health and freedom.
Location: Remote, occasional travel required.
We will count on you to:
- Create an active brand community that is more than just a social presence — you’ll be at the center of a community of people taking ownership of their bodies and their health
- Develop and crystallize an executable social strategy that aligns with our overall marketing strategy and engagement objectives
- Manage the production of all content for all social channels (primarily Instagram and TikTok), including briefing the design team and working with content creators
- Compile and present all content for approval/feedback in a timely manner
- Manage influencer outreach and contract negotiations
- Be an active, highly engaged community manager, including posting and responding in a timely manner
- Lead new platform strategy, staying ahead of trends and identifying new opportunities
- Represent the voice of our social audience in discussions and decisions about our brand and business strategy
- Work with Growth to provide effective content for ads
- Present regular reporting on our social metrics, and iterate based on performance data
Who we are looking for:
- 3-5+ years experience in social media and community management
- Someone who truly loves community management and talking directly with followers to build a meaningful relationship
- Excellent writer with a strong, unique voice that aligns with our brand values and mission
- Comfortable producing and creating content, especially video
- Comfort negotiating and managing external teams including agencies and freelancers
- Proven track record of taking ownership, creative problem solving, and driving results
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Data-driven and adept at analyzing quantitative data and qualitative data in decision making
- Positive can-do attitude in fast-paced and dynamic environments
- Has a “no task is too small” attitude
Salary + Benefits:
- Compensation includes a $90,000-110,000 base depending on level of experience, and includes bonus eligibility and company stock options.
