Description:
Assist Warehouse Supervisor with daily operations of warehouse, primarily to include pulling, packing, and shipping of orders.
Some Responsibilities:
- Pulling inventory for completed orders.
- Checking orders pulled.
- Packing and shipping completed orders.
- Receive inventory from vendors.
- Track shipments when applicable.
- Check inventory on shelf on request.
- Assist with annual warehouse inventory.
- Move and re-shelve inventory after annual catalog completion.
- Assist with logistics and packing for conventions and events.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum 16 years of age.
- Conversant with the Reformed Faith and Classical Education from a Christian worldview according to the VSA Statement of Faith and Philosophy.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Able to maintain courteous and professional disposition when dealing with co-workers.
- Able to work diligently without much direct supervision.
- Work to constantly expand abilities by gaining further training in areas of weakness.
- Able to lift 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods of time.
- Detail Oriented
Physical Demands:
- Standing, walking lifting, and sitting for long periods of time
- Typing on QWERTY style keyboard
- Viewing of lighted computer monitor
- Speaking and Hearing
- Reaching and bending
- Lifting up to 50 lbs
- Using hands to perform tasks
- Working in industrial warehouse conditions (climate controlled) around and utilizing equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks and carts
- Exposure to dust and dirt
Education:
- A high school diploma preferred (may be waived for talented students still completing high school).
