The Logistics Technician reports to and supports the Manager, Warehouse Operations, who
is ultimately responsible for the management and leadership of the Warehouse Operations team within the US Materials Management Group of Swiftwater Industrial Operations.
The Logistics Technician will have interactions focused mostly on Production support, but, also plant-wide with Site Services, Finance & Administration, Industrial Operations, Commercial Operations, outside transportation services, outside vendors, regulatory agencies, and outside contractors/ consultants. Working in a multi-shift GMP production environment generates the need to work overtime as required, often with short notice and the working of various shifts, depending on business needs and production
Pick, pack, fill orders for product line. Identify, sort and fill orders accuartely. Maintain pace with fast moving line. Hit target goals for shipping daily, weekly and monthly. Experience: 3 to 6 years.
Skills:The Logistics Technician is responsible for but not limited to the following:
Performing all raw material goods receipt for valid Purchase Order execution
within SAP; both non-batch, batch and quality managed batch-controlled material.
Post goods, receipt put away, storage and order picking of all warehoused material in accordance with good cGMP practices and as set forth in departmental SOPs.
Intra-Site delivery, inventory control, proper certifications for maintaining licensure for the operation of powered material handling equipment and the administration functions required to support departmental operations.
Receiving Duties include but are not limited to
Performing the receiving function initiated with the unloading of the physical receipt at the dock as set forth in departmental SOPs.
Processing any/all specialized receipt functions dealing with the importing of all non- Sanofi Pasteur US finished goods and filled containers for valid Schedule Agreement/Purchase Order execution within SAP.
Warehousing Duties include but are not limited to the following:
Goods receipt put away, storage and order picking for all warehoused material in accordance with good cGMP practices and as set forth in departmental SOPs.
Delivery Duties include but are not limited to the following:
Intra-Site delivery function of all Purchase Order and non-Purchase Order receipts and as set forth in departmental SOPs.
Delivery of all FedEx/overnight letter/package receipts to occur same day.
Ensuring that all fleet vehicles are scheduled for repairs, registration, inspection and preventative maintenance.
Administration Duties includes but are not limited to the following:
Performing all administrative functions required to properly support departmental operations and where set forth in departmental SOPs.
Inventory Control Duties include but are not limited to the following:
Inventory control of all materials within the SAP system as transacted in conjunction with the Goods Receipt for Purchase Order process and related downstream processing and as set forth in departmental SOPs.
Material Handling Duties include but are not limited to the following
Performing and controlling all logistical movements of material from receiving to storage, direct to production areas or to other designated areas and as set forth in departmental SOPs
All other duties as assigned
The ideal candidate will have experience and knowledge of the following:
Above average SAP skill set in the management of GMP material receipt and order fulfillment for production support.
Powered Material Handling equipment
Manual Material Handling equipment
SCLogic Package Tracking system
24V Battery Charging stations
Chart recorders
Attention to the details and accuracy within good documentation practices
Create and maintain a safety culture
Education:.
Education:
High School Degree or equivalent
Required:
Minimum of 2 years experience in warehousing/logistics/supply chain
Ability to lift 50 pounds (by movement, manual or mechanically assisted, of pallet loads, large drums, gas cylinders, etc.)
Valid Pennsylvania Driver s License (clean driving record)
Ability to obtain DOT medical release
