Day to Day Responsibilities:
Collaborate with others to develop different methods and processes for various fiber optic terminations.
Understand and use of various process equipment within Development lab.
Work with global manufacturing resources to evaluate manufacturability of proposed solutions and support initial implementation of new process technologies.
Provide project support to evaluate process concepts through configuration and modification of lab based systems.
Carry out experimental plans by setting up equipment (such as various types of measurement systems and mechanical apparatus), performing experimentation, collecting data.
Capture new ideas for possible patent submission.
Develop draft procedures for processes and equipment.
Maintain and improve a safe work environment.
Support lab by driving safety, environmental and 5S standards.

Required Education:
High School Diploma or GED
Required Skills:
Demonstrate use of problem solving skills.
Demonstrated, applied mechanical aptitude.
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Use of hand and electrical tools.
Ability to follow detailed instructions.
Ability to work in a team member role.
General computer knowledge (MS office).
Strong communication skills.
