Data Services Manager

We are seeking a seasoned Data Services Manager to lead and develop our data engineering and business intelligence (BI) functions. This role is pivotal in driving data-driven decision-making across the organization by establishing robust data infrastructure, delivering actionable insights, and ensuring data quality and governance.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute the overall data strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Design and implement data architecture, including data warehousing, data lakes, and data pipelines.
• Oversee the development and maintenance of data models and metadata.
• Lead and mentor a team of data engineers in building and maintaining data pipelines.
• Ensure efficient data ingestion, transformation, and loading processes.
• Optimize data storage and retrieval for performance and scalability.
• Implement data quality checks and monitoring mechanisms.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and requirements.
• Design and develop self-service BI solutions and dashboards.
• Provide data-driven insights to support business decision-making.
• Ensure data accuracy and consistency in BI reports and visualizations.
• Establish and enforce data governance policies and standards.
• Protect sensitive data through robust security measures.
• Ensure data compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
• Build and lead a high-performing data team.
• Provide mentorship and coaching to team members.
• Foster a data-driven culture within the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Proven experience in data engineering, BI, and data management roles.
• Strong technical expertise in data warehousing, ETL/ELT processes, database technologies (SQL, NoSQL), and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is preferred.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business terms.
