Fire Protection Engineer

Quattro Consulting, an operating firm of Command Holdings, is currently seeking Fire Protection Engineers to serve on a potential effort supporting the Navy.

Responsibilities for this position may include (but are not limited to):

• Providing fire protection engineering services for NAVFAC installations.
• Conducting fire safety evaluations, risk assessments, and hazard analyses.
• Developing and reviewing fire protection designs, specifications, and drawings.
• Ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
• Coordinating with other engineering disciplines and project stakeholders.
• Performing inspections and tests of fire protection systems.

This position is contingent on contract award. Multiple positions may be hired from this listing.

Expected salary range: $112,000 - $136,000

 Work Environment:

• Moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phone and printers) and /or occasional Loud noise (airfield, large equipment).

• Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.

Physical Demands:

• While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to sit, stand, talk, and hear.
• Employee is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers to operate a computer.

Travel:

• 11-20% / Occasional travel.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance. (Eligible to pass Federal security clearance process. Please visit the link for FAQs: https://www.dcsa.mil/mc/pv/mbi/gicp/).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in fire protection engineering.
• Proficiency in fire protection engineering principles and practices.
• Familiarity with National Fire Protection Association codes and standards.
• Ability to use fire modeling and simulation software.
• Demonstrated proficiency in using all Microsoft Office applications.
• Outstanding communication skills, influencing abilities, and client focus.
• Professional proficiency in English is required.
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Quattro Consulting will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

• Current, active secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Registered Professional Engineer.
• Experience with design and evaluation of fire protection systems in government or military facilities.
