<p><strong>Job Summary</strong><strong></strong></p><p>A Chief Operating Officer (COO) in the Electrical - Mechanical Industry is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational functions of a company, ensuring efficient processes, high-quality products, and profitability. Will be responsible to implement strategies, optimize resource utilization, and drive the company’s operational goals.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><p><strong> Operational Leadership</strong>:</p><ol></ol><ul><li>Oversee daily operations and ensure processes run efficiently across manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, and customer service.</li></ul><ul><li>Develop and implement operational strategies that align with the company’s growth and financial goals.</li></ul><ul><li>Collaborate with department heads (production, engineering, maintenance) to streamline workflows and improve productivity.</li></ul><p><strong>Strategic Planning</strong></p><ul><li>Assist in developing and implementing long-term operational plans, including the integration of new technologies, methodologies, and equipment.</li></ul><ul><li>Participate in business planning sessions and translate strategic goals into operational targets.</li></ul><p><strong>Process Optimization</strong></p><ul><li>Analyze current operations and identify opportunities for improvement, focusing on increasing efficiency, reducing waste, and minimizing downtime.</li></ul><ul><li>Lead initiatives for lean manufacturing and Six Sigma practices to optimize processes.</li></ul><p><strong>Team Leadership & Development</strong></p><ul><li>Manage and mentor the operations team, including plant managers, engineers, and production staff.</li></ul><ul><li>Ensure continuous training and development to enhance team performance and technical skills.</li></ul><p><strong>Compliance & Safety</strong></p><ul><li>Ensure that all operational activities comply with industry regulations and standards, including safety, environmental, and quality assurance policies.</li></ul><ul><li>Oversee risk management processes to ensure a safe working environment.</li></ul><p><strong>Financial Management</strong></p><ul><li>Develop and manage budgets for operational departments.</li></ul><ul><li>Monitor key financial metrics, ensuring that production costs are controlled, and profitability is maximized.</li></ul><p><strong>Supply Chain & Vendor Management</strong></p><ul><li>Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to manage inventory, reduce lead times, and establish strong relationships with suppliers and service providers.</li></ul><ul><li>Oversee logistics and ensure timely delivery of products to clients.</li></ul><p><strong>Customer Focus</strong></p><ul><li>Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to understand client needs and translate them into operational requirements.</li></ul><ul><li>Ensure high product quality and on-time delivery to meet or exceed customer expectations.</li></ul><p><strong><br></strong><strong>Skills & Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related fields) or Business Management; an MBA or Master’s in Engineering is preferred.</li></ul><ul><li>Proven experience (10+ years) in operations management, preferably within the electrical, mechanical, or manufacturing industries.</li></ul><ul><li>Strong leadership and team management skills with experience in managing cross-functional teams.</li></ul><ul><li>In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control standards, and industrial equipment.</li></ul><ul><li>Experience with operational excellence initiatives like Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen.</li></ul><ul><li>Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.</li></ul><ul><li>Proficiency in ERP systems and other operational software used in the industry.</li></ul> •
