Position Overview:

We are seeking a friendly, high-energy Dental Assistant to join our fast-paced office. As a Dental Assistant at Bayou Children’s Dental Centers, you will play a crucial role in delivering our mission of providing personal, individualized, quality-focused care to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the dentists during a variety of treatment procedures.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays).
• Record patient medical history and dental treatment.
• Provide postoperative instructions as directed by the dentist.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and plaque control programs.
• Manage patient flow and ensure a smooth and efficient office environment.
• Perform various office tasks as needed to maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Requirements

• An Expanded Dental Duty Assistant (EDDA) certificate is preferred but not required.
• Dental experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of Dentrix is beneficial.
• Pediatric experience is highly desirable.
• Must be friendly, enjoy working with children, and have a high energy level.
