eVisit is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel with experience in Healthcare Information Technology (HCIT) and expertise in Software Contracting to provide legal guidance and support for our rapidly growing Telehealth platform. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all legal matters related to healthcare regulations, privacy, contracting, intellectual property, litigation, and working externally as necessary.
The Senior Legal Counsel will report to the CFO and work closely with the leadership team to ensure compliance with legal requirements and mitigate risk. You will be joining a team of passionate and experienced professionals dedicated to simplifying healthcare delivery to everyone, everywhere.
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of legal experience in Healthcare Information Technology, with a preference for experience at a Telehealth, Digital Health Company, or Health System.
- Excellent legal and analytical skills with the ability to advise executives on complex legal issues across a multitude of disciplines.
- High level of expertise handling and executing software contracts.
- Knowledge and understanding of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, HITECH, and state-specific regulations
- Experience negotiating and drafting agreements with healthcare providers, vendors, and clients, and employees
- Proven success in executing on merger and acquisition transactions (M&A)
- Ability to manage internal and external legal resources
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams across the entire company.
- High degree of comfort being the only Legal resource internally at eVisit.
- JD degree from an accredited law school and active license to practice law.
