Raymus Homes, a new homebuilder based in Manteca, CA, is searching for a detail-oriented individual who will oversee the company's financial records and account personnel. You will be responsible for managing the overall financing and accounting operations - including computer operations, cash management, accounting records and reports, financial analysis and general office administration.

This will be a competitive salaried position depending on experience - plus generous health, vision, and dental benefits.

Salary for this position begins at $130,000+. Room for growth and opportunities within the Company.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and analyze timely, accurate financial statements for all entities.
  • Prepare and maintain project proforma.
  • Develop an ongoing budgeting process in response to the company’s business plan. Monitor performance against the budget and identify variances that require corrective action.
  • Forecast, control, and monitor receipts and disbursements of cash.
  • Acquire necessary debt and equity financing for residential construction, land development activities, and general operations.
  • Utilize MarkSystems program to implement procedures to monitor and analyze the progress of homes under construction from an estimating/purchasing/variance/cost-to-complete standpoint to enable management to effectively manage operations.
  • Oversee all corporate insurance matters including health, dental, general liability, auto, workers compensation, construction in progress, etc. Advise on overall risk management program.
  • Oversee and proof annual 1099, 1098, W-2s and other information returns.
  • Oversee and proof bank statement reconciliations; reconcile to general ledger.
  • Reconcile general ledgers to subsidiary accounts A/R, A/P, J/C, F/A. Prepare and enter adjusting entries for accruals and adjustments.
  • Assist in compiling all information needed for the preparation and timely filing of the shareholders’ individual income tax returns, and assist as needed with any retirement, gift, and estate tax planning.
  • Coordinate and review the compilation of all information required for the preparation of each company’s annual tax return.
  • Administer the 401(k) plan.
  • Interface with IT/network provider to maintain security.
  • Build and motivate a strong team.

Required Skills and Knowledge:

  • Proficiency in Generally Accepted Accounting Principals, Federal and State Income Tax Law for S Corporations, Partnerships (general and limited), Limited Liability Companies, Payroll Tax and Labor Law.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Track record of accuracy.
  • Able to conform to strict deadlines and due dates.
  • Ability to prioritize work.
  • Honesty, integrity, and able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong written, verbal and collaboration skills
  • Tackle problems as they arise with creative solutions.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of related experience. Experience in residential construction / new homebuilding very desirable.
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Proficient in Sage/MasterBuilder, MarkSystems, or equivalent program.
  • Able to lift and move up to 30 pounds.
  • Valid Driver License with clean driving record. Must be eligible for coverage under Company auto policy.
