A Management Accountant that will ensure the integrity of financial data, provide insights for cost control and efficiency improvements, and contribute to strategic financial planning . You will be responsible for providing financial analysis, reporting, and planning support to the CFO and the senior management team. This role involves budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis to drive informed decision-making and support the company’s financial objectives.

What’s the role?
You will be responsible for:
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and analysis for the senior management team.
- Analyse financial performance against key business metrics and provide insights for improvement.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic planning and decision-making.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Lead the annual budgeting process, collaborating with department heads to develop realistic and achievable budgets.
- Prepare regular forecasts and variance analysis to identify trends and provide actionable insights.
- Monitor budget adherence and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
Cost Management:
- Conduct cost-benefit analysis and identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
- Analyse variances between actual and budgeted figures, providing detailed explanations and recommendations.
- Implement and manage cost control initiatives.
Strategic Planning:
- Support the CFO in the development and implementation of long-term financial strategies.
- Provide financial input for business cases and strategic projects.
- Conduct financial feasibility studies and risk assessments for new initiatives.
Compliance and Internal Controls:
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
- Maintain and improve internal control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies as needed.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Present financial information to senior management, board members, and other stakeholders.
- Provide training and support to non-financial managers to enhance their financial understanding and decision making.
Team Collaboration and Development:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives and initiatives.
- Mentor and develop junior finance team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA or CMA certification preferred
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in management accounting, financial analysis, or related roles
- SAICA, AT(SA), AGA(SA) or CA(SA) registered
