We currently work with over 2000 schools in the United Kingdom and Latvia and are planning to grow significantly next year.<br></p><p dir="ltr">We're looking for a Front-end Engineer with solid experience to scale our product with us to support our rapidly growing user base and help us in our improvement journey.<br><strong><br></strong></p><p dir="ltr"><strong>Our current technical stack:</strong></p><ul><li>Back-end - TypeScript (Legacy - PHP with Laravel) </li><li>Front-end - Vue.js 3 / Vuetify + Typescript (Legacy - Vue.js, Bootstrap) </li><li>Datastores - MySQL, DynamoDB, Redis </li><li>Version control - Git, GitHub </li><li>Infrastructure - AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, ELB, Lambda, Event bridge, API Gateway, Lambda, EKS), Linux</li></ul><p dir="ltr"><strong><br>Why we are hiring:</strong></p><ul><li>Our product team (tech lead, 2 back-end engineers and 1 front-end engineer, QA automation engineer, and product manager) needs another strong front-end engineer to allow us to achieve our ambition without placing too much pressure on the existing team</li><li>We have an 8-year-old PHP monolith with a Vue frontend that requires some maintenance, but we are investing in a move towards micro-services and eliminating technical debt</li><li>Our company is growing steadily, so scaling our infrastructure and codebase is becoming a strong need</li><li>After reaching a product-market fit, we can afford to do things well (not just do things quickly)</li></ul><p dir="ltr"><br></p><p dir="ltr"><strong>You should apply if you have:</strong><br></p><ul><li>Familiarity with our tech stack — you will be mostly working in Vue3 TypeScript with some tasks in PHP / Vue (if applicable), so about 4 years of appropriate experience seems about right</li><li>The ability to provide a first draft of a technical design of a reasonably complex feature and guide the team through the feedback discussion.
