We are seeking a candidate for a Full-time position working as a System Integrator to integrate and test multiple software platforms, working out of Progeny Systems headquarters in Manassas, VA. Candidate will work on a fast-paced integrated product development team providing innovative solutions. The team’s work involves custom software development and open source software integration, into a distributed, net-centric system-of-systems for DoD customers. This program provides at-sea provisioning, penetration testing, surveillance, and evaluation of software going into production platforms.
The candidate will be responsible for numerous activities, involving all phases of evaluating, configuring, testing and integrating software and custom solutions to ensure their suitability.
Duties and Responsibilities
Areas of responsibility include:
Perform product integration to determine suitability to task and the ability to integrate companion products
Perform OS installation/test/debug on physical machine and virtual machines
perform testing of various software components, ranging from component verification testing to government acceptance testing and longevity testing
Verification and validation of testing documentation, including redlining as necessary
Troubleshoot and correct integration problems during all phases of integration/testing
Understanding of the various Hardware and Software components, sub-systems and of the entire architecture as a whole
Technical verification and validation of hardware, operating systems, infrastructure and applications to measure and document system performance
Execution and assessment of Performance Verification Tests (PVTs)
Execution and assessment execution of System Operational Verification Tests (SOVT)
Execution and assessment execution of Longevity Testing
Full bug lifecycle support, including creation, management, tracking, verification, validation and closing activities
Interact and coordinate with engineering management, developers and testers from partnering contractor companies and joint testing group (JTG)

Must be willing to travel occasionally within continental United States and less frequently outside the continental United States
This position requires the applicant to obtain and maintain a DoD Clearance.
Physical and Mental Requirements for all positions:
• Prolonged stationary periods at a desk
• General ability to operate computer and other productivity machinery such as calculator, copy machine, printer, etc.
• Ability to lift and transport up to 15 pounds at times
• Effectively communicate with others
• Ability to stay focused and provide attention to detail.
• Ability to think analytically and apply problem solving skills to scenarios throughout the course of the workday
