Content Writer / Copywriter

We're seeking a talented Content Writer / Copywriter to join the team of our Agency Client.
As the Content Writer, you will play a pivotal role in in crafting impactful content, be a vital part of the creative team, responsible for creating persuasive and concise content for a wide range of projects.

In this role, you'll also work closely with key members of our client's creative and account teams to produce compelling copy for videos, short and catchy ad campaigns, as well as press releases and other communication materials. This is a 100% onsite role at our client's location located in Overland Park, KS.

As a Content writer, you will….

Originate engaging short and longform content for paid, owned and earned media channels, including websites, blogs, social media, multimedia and video, newsletters, white papers, testimonials, print and digital ads
Craft clear, concise, and creative copy that effectively communicates the client's message while maintaining brand consistency
Develop engaging scripts for video content that captivate audiences and convey complex ideas in an understandable manner
Create short, quippy ad copy that resonates with target audiences and drives desired actions
Transform intricate concepts into compelling narratives that resonate with a wide range of audiences
PR & Communications - Write and edit press releases, articles, and other communication materials, ensuring accuracy and adherence to industry standards
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, account managers, and clients, to ensure content aligns with project goals and client expectations
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, client industries, and emerging marketing techniques to inform and enhance your writing

What we expect from you….

An online website/portfolio showcasing your work is required for consideration of this role
A minimum of three (3) years of content writing or journalism experience in traditional and online, including social channels
Experience in the origination of engaging short and longform content for paid, owned and earned media channels, including websites, blogs, social media, multimedia and video, newsletters, white papers, testimonials, print and digital ads
A minimum of three (3) years of content writing or journalism experience in traditional and online, including social channels
Proven experience working in a creative agency environment is essential
Copywriting skills - Exceptional writing and editing skills with a portfolio demonstrating proficiency in video scripts, ad copy, and other content types
Familiarity with press release writing, PR strategies, and communication best practices
Ability to adapt writing style to different clients, industries, and project requirements
A creative mindset with the ability to generate unique ideas and concepts
A degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field is preferred
