<p dir="ltr">We are seeking a dynamic, motivating and results-driven Business Development Team Lead to join our growing sales team based in New York City. This is a <strong>"player-coach" role</strong>, requiring you to both excel in generating leads and sales accepted opportunities (SAOs) yourself, while also coaching and mentoring a team of BDRs to achieve their targets.</p><p dir="ltr"><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li dir="ltr"><strong>Individual Performance:</strong><ul><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Generate and qualify leads through outbound prospecting (calls, emails, and any other form of proven medium that appeals to and effectively reaches our customers - colleges and universities across the USA.)</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to prospective clients.</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Achieve a personal monthly quota of <5 SAOs.</p></li></ul></li><li dir="ltr"><strong>Team Leadership & Coaching:</strong><ul><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Lead, mentor, and coach a team of BDRs to achieve their individual and team targets.</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Provide daily guidance, support, and feedback to improve their prospecting, qualification, and communication skills.</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Conduct regular one-on-one meetings and team training sessions as needed to drive performance and grow careers.</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Monitor team performance, track key metrics, and identify and act on areas for improvement.</p></li></ul></li><li dir="ltr"><strong>Sales Strategy & Execution:</strong><ul><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Collaborate with the sales leadership to develop and implement effective outbound sales strategies.</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Identify and target key decision-makers within universities and higher education institutions.</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Develop and refine sales scripts, email templates, and other sales collateral.</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor activities.</p></li></ul></li><li dir="ltr"><strong>Collaboration & Communication:</strong><ul><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Work closely with the marketing team to align on lead generation campaigns and messaging.</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Collaborate with the sales team to ensure a smooth transition of qualified leads.</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.</p></li></ul></li></ul><p dir="ltr"><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr"><strong>Proven Success:</strong> 2+ years of experience as a successful BDR in a SaaS environment, with a demonstrated track record of exceeding targets.</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr"><strong>Leadership Potential:</strong> Strong leadership qualities, including the ability to motivate, coach, and inspire a team, and a real thirst for developing leadership and management skills over time. A coaching-first mentality is essential.</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr"><strong>Higher Education Knowledge:</strong> Understanding of the higher education landscape in the USA is ideal but not a deal breaker.</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr"><strong>Excellent Communication:</strong> Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and present effectively.</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr"><strong>Tech Savvy:</strong> Proficiency in using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and other sales enablement tools.</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr"><strong>Growth Mindset:</strong> A passion for continuous learning and development, both personally and for your team.</p></li></ul><div><h3><strong>About us</strong></h3><p>We’ve grown at an incredibly fast pace since our launch in 2017.
