Production Assistant - Arrow Metal

Join Arrow Metal as a Production Assistant and assist with overseeing our Silverwater factory operations, driving efficiency and quality in the production of perforated metal and woven wire mesh products. 

This full-time role, Monday to Friday from 7.30am to 5:00pm, involves working with a small but growing team and ensuring smooth workflow through expert CNC programming and lean management practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily factory operations and ensure the production schedule is met.
• Work in a current team of 4 people, with the potential for further growth.
• Program and operate CNC Turret Punch machines, ensuring precision and quality.
• Assist with the Implementation of lean manufacturing principles to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with the Production Manager to relieve operational pressure and enable business scaling.
• Ensure safety and compliance standards are upheld within the factory.
• Assist planning and maintaining production reports, track key performance indicators, and address any issues promptly.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Practical experience with sheet metal working
• Willing to learn CNC programming
• Flexible with work hours, especially during busy periods.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage workflow effectively.
• Self-motivated with a drive and energy to lead a team and improve production efficiency.
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration with other departments.
