The S2G Sales Team is Growing! We are looking to hire an Account Category Manager.

Scope:

The Account Category Manager will be responsible for analyzing historical data, identifying trends, and developing accurate forecasts to support the organization's strategic decision-making processes. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate data effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Collect and analyze historical data to identify trends, patterns, and correlations that can be used to improve forecasting accuracy
  • Provide support for ad-hoc data analysis and reporting requests from various departments
  • Maintain price lists and communicate changes to Sales and Customer Service staff
  • Work closely with Finance department to ensure vendor payments reflect BER’s, price protections and allowances
  • Consistently engage with customer/retailer buyers, Purchasing, Finance and Marketing teams
  • Join and assist with vendor meetings and presentations to customer/retailer
  • Act as category consultant with customer/retailer through assortment and inventory recommendations
  • Communicate and follow up with vendor shipment discrepancies or customer level issues affecting their business (credit limitations, refusals, etc.)
  • Ensure vendor is billed accordingly for special projects outside of normal S2G service offering and that vendor expectations mirror company capabilities
  • Store level sales detail planning and forecasting
  • Retail script/PO writing by store
  • Work closely with Operations on shipping, POD, and retail compliance

Inventory Management:

  • Regular analysis of company inventory to maintain weeks on hand targets
  • Question and challenge vendor on unrealistic inventory demands and elevate as necessary
  • Ensure customer replenishment orders are filled in a timely fashion
  • Coordinate payments (CIA or otherwise) where applicable to ensure timely product flow
  • Analyze special buys and offers to ensure company profitability

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field strongly preferred or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in data analysis, forecasting, or a similar role
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and draw meaningful insights
  • Proficiency in (Tableau, Power BI, or Excel)
  • Knowledge of forecasting methodologies
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously

The successful candidate will receive a conditional offer which will be contingent upon a successful background clearance obtained through our contracted third-party vendor. The standard clearance requirements depend on the position and may include some or all of the following: criminal or credit clearance, employment verification, education verification, and driver’s abstract review.
