- The Membership Analytics Team is BJ's internal advanced analytics consultancy.
- The Team is responsible for a wide range of analysis in support of BJ's efforts to strengthen member loyalty, improve retention, acquire high quality members and increase member lifetime value.
- The Lead Membership Analyst, Acquisition Analytics will be responsible for efficiently acquiring high quality members by driving more effective and efficient advertising campaigns.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities:
• Work with the marketing team to define campaign goals and set testing agenda
• Develop segmentation & targeting strategy to help select prospects for individual campaigns
• Partner with marketing team to execute cross-channel acquisition campaigns
• Work with analytics team to prepare monthly prospect files for direct mail campaigns
• Leverage data-driven thinking to identify new marketing opportunities and partnerships
• Assist with regular reporting and KPI tracking to synthesize results and identify opportunities for strategic improvement
• Serve as thought leader in the design and development of new tools and reporting
• The role is highly analytical in nature and requires the ability to mine and interpret data as well as translate complex concepts for non-technical team members and senior executives
• Devise creative technical solutions to automate routine, structured tasks
• Additional tasks/responsibilities will be assigned as needed
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Analytics, Marketing or Economics. Masters or MBA highly preferred
• Experience at a full-service marketing agency, or managing one on brand side
• High attention to detail
• Experience measuring and optimizing digital (programmatic, social) and offline (radio, direct mail) channels strongly encouraged
• Self-starting with a strong sense of urgency
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
• Data and analytical experience (5 years of relevant experience preferred)
• Comfortable working with relational databases
• Ability to "think outside the box” in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
• Team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
