Senior ServiceNow Developer
Location: Remote Job Overview:Highly experienced ServiceNow senior Developer that can thrive in a challenging and rewarding environment. This ServiceNow Developer is responsible for applying innovative technical solutions to business processes, maintaining applications, consulting with business analysts, architects and/or project managers to develop technical solutions, developing design and functional specifications, demonstrating, and providing post-implementation support.
Responsibilities:- Implementation Role-facing for technical consulting experience with ServiceNow
- Working with internal and external stakeholders, recommending features, functionality and approach
- Ability to roadmap and recommend short- and long-term solutions, assessing system and client maturity for incremental, evolving ServiceNow utilization.
- Experience assessing business needs and implementing 3rd party integration requirements.
- Leading the development of ServiceNow based projects.
- Definition of technical solutions at a configuration and customization levels
- Provision of expert support and leadership to team members
- Proactively identifying opportunities to continuously leverage ServiceNow platform.
- Maintaining a comprehensive knowledge of platforms capabilities and acting as subject matter expert.
- Maintaining the current knowledge set of the latest releases of ServiceNow and maintaining the ability to demonstrate these features and functions.
- Technical solution validation before deployment.
- Responsible for troubleshooting problems as needed.
- Supports Web access and electronic messaging services and maintains a secure system environment.
- Communicates effectively with management and other members of the project.
- Integration of disparate systems using SOAP and REST APIs
- Mid-Server Configuration (to facilitate REST calls); CMDB configuration and integration.
- Creation of Web Service for data integration
- Knowledge of every ServiceNow module and experience with the majority in customer implementations.
- Additional duties as assigned and defined by management.
Required Qualifications:- 8+ years ServiceNow development experience and 3+ years Solution Developer Role
- Customer-facing technical consulting experience with ServiceNow
- 2+ years of experience with Agile and Scrum project management
- 2+ years of experience with scripting using JavaScript, CSS and Angular JS, Flows, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI actions and pages, and widgets.
- Strong understanding of ServiceNow platform and experience web application development using JavaScript, HTML, CSS and AJAX.
- Experience with commercial awareness and business acumen, managing stakeholders, and implementing change management practices.
- Experience with developing roadmaps for customer stakeholders
- Knowledge of ServiceNow capabilities, including SPM, GRC/IRC, ITSM, ITAM, ITOM, or HRSD and ITIL frameworks
- Specific experience and ability to demonstrate and lead discussions for App Engine Studio, scoped applications, Service Portal.
- Ability to build proof-of-concept business requirements for demonstration and strategic example setting of the “ServiceNow Art-of-the-Possible.”
- Knowledge of the key technologies relevant to ServiceNow integration solutions, including Integration Hub, SSO, Web Services, and LDAP
- Perform platform upgrades and review skipped updates due to upgrade and release notes.
- Implement best practices in coding and design as per ServiceNow standards and community guidelines.
- Does Technical Assessment of new plugins installation and configuration to setup business processes.
- Proficiency in scripting for Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI actions, Access Control Lists, UI Policies, Portal Pages, UI Pages, etc.
- Proficient in reporting and dashboard set up.
- Proficient in workflow configuration.

- Maintain an active/current ServiceNow Certified Application Developer Certification
Nice to have Skills: - Experience in public sector, federal work, specifically in healthcare IT.
- Experience in the insurance industry and/or case management.
- Experience with Agile development methodology, requirements management and JIRA, or a similar RTM platform and ability to provide time estimation to work components.
- Possession of excellent problem-solving and presentation skills
- Maintain an active/current ServiceNow Certified System Administrator Certification
- Service Now Implementation Certification (CIS) – preferred to have at least 1 CIS certification.
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist- Human Resources, ServiceNow CIS - IT Service Management, ServiceNow CIS - Customer Service Management, ServiceNow Certified Application Developer, ServiceNow CIS - Software Asset Management, MC - Flow Designer, MC - Automated Test Framework, or MC - Performance Analytics Certification
- ITIL Foundation Certification
- Scaled Agile or equivalent certification.
