About the Role

Location: Remote, United States

Duration: 10/1/24-12/15/24 (10 weeks)

Reports To: Curriculum Team Manager

Compensation: $75-$100 per hour (10-30 hours per week) 

Role Type: Independent Contractor

CodePath is seeking a Curriculum Content Creator to build out content for an experimental new course that combines core CS2 topics with practical Technical Interview preparation, using Python 3. This role would work closely with the Curriculum Team to create curriculum artifacts such as: lesson plans, slide decks, activity tutorials, project grading instructions, etc.

Please note: This role is a content creation role, not an advisory role.  If desired, any candidate is also eligible to apply for our “Content Advisor” position. 

 

Key Activities

  • Quickly familiarize themselves with CodePath’s existing Technical Interview Prep (TIP) courses

  • Write curriculum content using Markdown and our Git-based version control system

  • Meet weekly with the Curriculum Team to provide updates on assigned work and receive feedback

  • (Optional) Create lesson slides in Google Slides, following CodePath’s brand and style guidelines

 

Qualifications

  • Computer science (or related field) degree, full stack bootcamp certification, or comparable experience working in/learning software development

  • Strong understanding of CS2 topics (OOP, data structures and algorithms), and ability to implement these data structures in Python 3

  • A passion for training the next generation of developers along with one (or more) of:

  • Experience teaching post-secondary students in an educational, volunteer or work setting

  • Experience writing and presenting instructional content in an educational, volunteer, or work setting

  • (Preferred) Some experience in either administering or designing a “technical interview process” to evaluate potential entry-level software developers

Pay range
$75$100 USD
