About this opportunity

Our client is a global accountancy firm based in Bermuda and the Cayman Islands, and seeking to hire a US Tax Senior. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a growing team with great potential for future progression within the firm.

Responsibilities as a US Tax Senior are as follow:

• Oversee a prestigious portfolio of financial services clients, mainly in Investments (Funds) or Insurance sectors
• Our people work on key client issues in domestic federal, international and state and local taxation with a focus on implementing tax strategies that align with clients’ business objectives
• Contribute to client satisfaction by providing clients with quality, timely and responsive services and work products
• Demonstrate an understanding of complex tax concepts; and discuss moderately complex tax issues with engagement team and client management
• Keep informed of current tax developments and effectively apply tax knowledge to client situations
• Accurately analyse information; prepare practical and effective approaches to clients’ tax situations to arrive at appropriate conclusions
• Share ideas with others and actively contribute to achieving team goals
• Assist in the development of recommendations and implementation plans, and assist in making quality decisions in complex areas
• Manage engagements whilst supervising a small team
• Deliver quality service to clients on budget, on time and within resources
• Liaise internally with other key departments within the firm
• Report to and liaise with Directors and Partners on tax advisory projects

What you'll need

• You must be a fully qualified CPA (US designation only) or at a minimum have Enrolled Agent status to be considered
• Possess strong US corporate tax experience already at Senior level, ideally but not necessarily in a Big Four or Top10 accountancy firm
• Experience of working with financial services clients is desirable
• Good supervisory, organisational and communication skills
• Excellent PC proficiency skills
