The Role

This role will give you a challenging opportunity to contribute to an innovative data product as a Senior Automation Engineer in the Data Quality chapter of our core engineering team. You will be joining our highly-productive engineering team, thriving work culture through individual growth, well-being, strong ethics, and entrepreneurial approach.

As the Senior Automation, you will be responsible for the quality of the customer facing analytics platform and the accuracy of the data. Your responsibilities will include:

• Define and Implement Automation Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to automate 80+% of system testing, collaborating with product owners and engineering leads to align with project goals and milestones.
• Mentorship and Team Development: Mentor QA engineers in automation best practices, conduct code reviews, and provide training to enhance team skills and support the automation strategy.
• Collaboration and Continuous Quality Improvement: Work close with Product Owners and Squad Leaders to ensure automation initiatives meet product requirements, prioritize and address data quality challenges with automated solutions to enhance accuracy and reliability.
• Test Planning and Execution: Define testing requirements, create detailed test plans with the Quality team, and develop automated test cases.
• High Quality Standards Maintained Across Product Releases: Set quality metrics to measure product quality and maintain them through right practices.
• Issue Resolution: Assess the impact of data quality issues on the business, collaborate with Data Engineers to rectify errors.

You Have

• Proven Track Record in Delivering Test Automation at Decent Scale: Strategized, managed, and delivered quality automation for large-scale projects, especially in data analytics.
• Technical Expertise in Test Automation: Proficient in using automation tools for web applications, including Selenium and Cypress IO, and you have experience in other newer age test frameworks like Karate Labs, Protractor. You are an expert in JavaScript, comfortable with Java, and have some shell scripting and AWS knowledge to manage automation tests infrastructure. SQL knowledge is a plus.
• Tools and Methodologies: Strong knowledge of API, performance, and load testing tools and methodologies.
• CI/CD and Version Control: Experience in managing tests within CI/CD pipelines.
• Quality Metrics Management: Managed Quality KPIs and maintained them within Scrum teams.
• Proven Scrum Experience with Large Teams: Worked effectively within Scrum teams to deliver automation solutions.
